Centennial's neighborhoods split cleanly by build era. Piney Creek and Walnut Hills went up mostly in the 1980s and 1990s with finished walkout basements that make excellent theater candidates — the walkout grade means we can run a dedicated 20-amp circuit and conduit to an exterior patio speaker system without tunneling under a slab. The Highlands and newer infill closer to Arapahoe Road tend to have taller main-floor ceilings and open great rooms, which changes our speaker layout math since a standard 5.1 footprint often needs to become a wider 7.1 spread to cover the room evenly.

Centennial's HOAs are numerous but mostly light-touch compared to Highlands Ranch next door; most only require sign-off for anything visible from the street, so satellite dishes and front-facing cameras get a quick design-review email rather than a formal committee hearing.

Retrofit realities in Centennial basements

A large share of our Centennial calls are second-owner homes where the original builder ran nothing more than a phone jack and a single coax drop. We treat these as full retrofits: fishing CAT6 down interior walls from the attic, adding a dedicated low-voltage panel near the electrical panel, and confirming there's spare breaker capacity before we commit to a theater or rack design. Where attic access is limited by hip-roof framing, we route through the garage ceiling instead, which is usually the shortest unobstructed path to a Centennial basement.
